On Tuesday, April 8, 60 students from the English elective program at Colegio del Verbo Divino were recognized for their hard work and dedication after completing the B2 First and C1 Advanced Cambridge exams in 2024. The ceremony celebrated their achievements and the effort they put into mastering the English language.
Father Sergio Edwards, SVD, opened the ceremony with a prayer inspired by the Sermon on the Mount, encouraging students to live according to their values and beliefs as they navigate life’s challenges. Next, Carlos Ossa, a student who obtained a C2 level, shared his personal experience of preparing for the C1 Advanced exam. He spoke about the challenges, frustrations, and, most importantly, the resilience and pride he and his classmates felt in reaching such a significant goal.
To wrap up the ceremony, Manuela Cisternas, the English Coordinator, expressed how proud she was of the students' hard work and dedication. She emphasized their great potential and the bright future ahead of them. “English isn’t just a second language; it’s a key to connecting with others, sharing ideas, and opening doors to endless possibilities,” she said. “Believe in yourselves, stay curious, and know that this is just the beginning of your journey.”

Desde ahora, el CVD colaborará con el desafío Vivamos Circular con ecobotellas. Esta campaña se suma a la recolección de botellas plásticas, tapitas, bolsas de papel Kraft y textos escolares.
En dos significativas y profundas instancias, los jóvenes dispusieron su corazón para el momento de renovar su compromiso con Jesús que pronto vivirán.
Por tercer año consecutivo, el colegio logró el primer lugar en el certamen luego de una destacada participación de nuestros deportistas.
En salida pedagógica, los estudiantes conocieron distintas profesiones y oficios en Blue Express, Televisión Nacional de Chile, Jumbo y al Poder Judicial.
Fueron 14 papás y mamás que conversaron con los estudiantes y dieron a conocer su experiencia vocacional.
A través del concurso Recicla KIDS, los estudiantes liderarán la campaña para así trabajar por un Verbo Verde.
En una charla formativa, los padres y madres tuvieron acceso a guías para conversar con los alumnos en esta etapa del desarrollo en la que se encuentran.
