Spelling Bee 2025: Celebrating Our Students’ English Skills
We are happy to share the results of our internal Spelling Bee, where students from 4th to 8th grade showed their strong English spelling and pronunciation skills. The event took place on May 19th and 20th and was full of excitement and great effort from all participants.
During the month of May, the best speller from each class was chosen. These students then competed in the Spelling Bee, and the top five students from each grade participated in the final rounds. The competition was very close, and in some grades we had to add extra rounds. In 8th grade, Agustín Meyer and Francisco Ajenjo continued competing until the 16th round!
“Our students did a fantastic job,” said Manuela Cisternas, our English Coordinator. “They were well prepared and showed a lot of effort and dedication".
Now, we are proud to announce the students who will represent our school in the next round of the competition. They will participate in the Spelling Bee Championships organized by the English Speaking Union (ESU) on June 4th, 5th and 6th.
Last year, our school won the Travelling Trophy, the biggest award in the competition, and we hope to do well again this year!
Our Spelling Bee 2024 representatives are:
- Mateo Allende (3rd A)
- Roque Rivero (4th C)
- Lucas Sánchez (5th B)
- Tomás Valdés (6th D)
- Andrés Riesco (7th B)
- Francisco Ajenjo (8th B)
Congratulations to all the students who took part in the Spelling Bee. We are proud of your hard work and enthusiasm!
