CVD students shine in English poetry competition
Agustín Meyer, Tomás Valdés, and Vicente Price, were selected to represent the school in the ESU poetry competition.

The Verbo Divino School announces that students from 3rd to 8th grade participated once again in the annual competition organized by the English Speaking Union (ESU) that took place in the Saint George School. This year, students took on the challenge of reciting poems by renowned international poets, displaying their passion and mastery of the English language.

Their journey began in September, when all classes were invited to join the competition. After an intense internal selection process, each class chose its top representatives. Our internal CVD judges then selected two finalists from each grade level, who recorded their poem recitations to be reviewed in the semifinal round.

Ultimately, the ESU judges chose Agustín Meyer (7thA), Tomás Valdés (5thB), and Vicente Price (3rdA) to represent Colegio Verbo Divino in the final event held on November 7th and 8th at Saint George’s College.

The school is extremely proud of their efforts, which reflect not only a strong command of English but also the commitment to learning and cultural appreciation. We thank our students for representing us with such grace and dedication!
